About Us

Welcome to OurTechIdeas.com — a practical knowledge hub created by SQL Server DBAs, for SQL Server DBAs.

My name is Sanjay, and I’ve been working as a SQL Server Database Administrator for over 8+ years. From managing critical production environments to performance tuning complex workloads, I’ve spent most of my career troubleshooting, optimizing, and automating SQL Server infrastructure.

Over the years, I realized that many useful scripts, tips, and hard-earned lessons never get properly documented. That’s why I started OurTechIdeas.com in 2023 — to share real-world T-SQL solutions, best practices, and DBA techniques that actually work in production environments.

What You’ll Find Here

Whether you are a beginner DBA, a seasoned professional, or someone transitioning into database administration, this blog is designed for you. You will find:

  • Ready-to-use T-SQL scripts for daily DBA tasks
  • Step-by-step guides on performance tuning, indexing, backups, security, and high availability
  • Practical solutions to common (and not-so-common) SQL Server problems
  • Automation ideas using PowerShell and T-SQL
  • Clear explanations without unnecessary fluff

Every article is written from real experience — tested in production wherever possible.

Our Mission

Our goal is simple: Help fellow DBAs save time, reduce stress, and become better at their job.

We believe great minds discuss ideas. That’s why we encourage you to comment, ask questions, and share your own experiences. The database world evolves rapidly, and the best way to grow is by learning together.
